Emergent space-time supersymmetry at disordered quantum critical points

چکیده
We study the effect of disorder on space-time supersymmetry that is proposed to emerge at quantum critical point pair density wave transition in $(2+1)$-dimensional (D) Dirac semimetals and $(3+1)$D Weyl semimetals. In $(2+1)$D semimetal, we consider three types disorder, including random scalar potential, vector potential mass whereas absent semimetal. Via a systematic renormalization-group analysis, find any type weak irrelevant due couplings between Yukawa vertex. The emergent is, thus, stable against potentials. Our paper will pave way for exploration realistic condensed-matter systems.

Disordered systems near quantum critical points
Various aspects of disordered systems at and near quantum phase transitions (QPT), which are transitions at zero temperature that are driven by quantum instead of thermal uctuations, are discussed. We describe a cluster algorithm in continuous (imaginary) time for general (pure or random) ferromagnetic Ising models in a transverse eld. It works directly with an innnite number of time-slices in ...
متن کاملNon-equilibrium conductivity at quantum critical points
Quantum criticality provides an important route to revealing universal non-equilibrium behaviour. A canonical example of a quantum critical point is the Bose-Hubbard model, which we study under the application of an electric field. A Boltzmann transport formalism and ǫ-expansion are used to obtain the non-equilibrium conductivity and current noise. This approach allows us to explicitly identify...
متن کاملDeconfined quantum critical points.
The theory of second-order phase transitions is one of the foundations of modern statistical mechanics and condensed-matter theory. A central concept is the observable order parameter, whose nonzero average value characterizes one or more phases. At large distances and long times, fluctuations of the order parameter(s) are described by a continuum field theory, and these dominate the physics ne...
متن کاملFractionalized Quantum Critical Points
Groundstates of certain materials can support exotic excitations with a charge that’s a fraction of the fundamental electron charge. The condensation of these fractionalized particles has been predicted to drive novel quantum phase transitions, which haven’t yet been observed in realistic systems. Through numerical and theoretical analysis of a physical model of interacting lattice bosons, we e...
